Trendsetter Travel Golf Tours has announced the release of its inaugural Great Lakes Toronto to Chicago Golf Cruise, onboard Ponant’s Le Champlain which includes 6 games of golf.
Thirteen nights, sailing from August 17 to 30, 2025, the tour commencing with a three-night stay at the five-star Four Seasons Toronto Hotel and includes two games of golf at leading courses including Glen Abbey Golf Club, 30 times the venue for the Canadian Open.
While in Toronto, there is an organised trip to Niagara Falls where guests can experience the awesome power of the Falls up close.
After Toronto, the tour group boards Le Champlain to commence an 8 day/7 night cruise of the Great Lakes, visiting Cleveland, Detroit, Mackinac Island and Muskegon, while sailing through four of the Great Lakes – Ontario, Erie, Huron and Michigan. Two further golf games are played when the ship is berthed in ports on the Great Lakes.
A small, elegant ship which accommodates up to 180 guests, the cruise on board Le Champlain enables a comprehensive look at this revered waterway as it sails across Lake Ontario and travels 42 km through the Welland Canal to enter Lake Erie. The ship then sails the length of Lake Erie visiting both Cleveland (Ohio) and Detroit (Michigan) before crossing into Lake Huron and finally Lake Michigan.
Definitely a highlight is a visit to Chicago, a city with stunning architecture that never fails to impress. Those on the tour stay at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago, playing our final two rounds of golf, including at an elite and private Chicago Golf Club.
This tour is ideal for golfing couples, golfer/non golfer couples, and singles who benefit from a single supplement of approximately 140% of the per person twin share rates.
