THEY’RE blowing their trumpet loud and clear at the Heritage Golf and Country Club east of Melbourne.

That’s because the famous Jack Nicklaus signature has been reinstated on its St John Course.

The club says ground crews have worked diligently to produce two courses that members can be proud of and after four years of hard work, dedication and commitment has succeeded in bringing Heritage back to the glory days.

The second course at Heritage is The Henley designed by Tony Cashmore.

The club says the president of Nicklaus’ design company has officially written to Heritage stating that, “you are reinstated immediately” and that the official letter of endorsement was on its way.

“The Jack Nicklaus people have been following our progress closely over this journey and have witnessed firsthand and via drone footage the lengths we have gone to present St John (and all of Heritage) in the best possible light,” the club said in a statement.

“We have now been rewarded for this effort.

“All members will join us in this feeling of pride in regaining the endorsement of the cherished signature of the world’s greatest golfer, Jack Nicklaus,” the statement concluded.
