IMG, owner and promoter of the Australian Masters, today announced that the 2015 Australian Masters would return to its original home at Huntingdale Golf Club for the 37th staging of the tournament from 19-22 November.

Huntingdale Golf Club is synonymous with the Masters, having hosted the event for 30 consecutive years, from its inaugural staging in 1979 through to 2008.

Upon the announcement, David Rollo, Vice President-Director of Golf IMG Australia and New Zealand commented:

“Given the integral part that Huntingdale has played in the rich history of the Australian Masters, we are delighted to have the opportunity to return and see the Club feature in our venue rotation policy.

“We know the players will enjoy the wonderful facilities afforded by the stunning new clubhouse and the challenges of the Huntingdale layout, which has delivered so many memorable moments over the past four decades.”

The Captain of Huntingdale Golf Club, David Parton added:

The Club and our members are delighted to welcome the Masters back to Huntingdale and we look forward to hosting a terrific event in November.”

The Australian Masters will be sanctioned by the PGA Tour of Australasia and PGA of Australia Chief Executive Brian Thorburn echoed these thoughts saying it was great to see the Masters returning to Huntingdale:

“We look forward to another successful Masters at its traditional home. The Masters is synonymous with the Summer of Golf and will kick start the Triple Crown in Australia.”
